Fragrances

To attract a prospective partner requires more than just a good-looking appearance and a good personality. It is important to have a scent that attracts as well. My interest in perfumes began about a year ago and my interest has only grown over time.

Perfumes have been used by humans for about 3,000 years in ancient Egypt.

Men's perfumes are usually divided into the following categories:

Floral: The floral fragrances are located in the borderland between male and female. They are often slightly powdery scents with abstract floral elements.

Woody: The woody scents are divided into three subgroups.

Wooden notes have notes from cedar, patchouli, pine, sandalwood and vetiver and belong to the largest masculine category along with leather notes.

Chypre has notes of bergamot, oak moss etc. This fragrance family is more subtle and simple.

Leather is best suited for scents used in autumn and winter as it gives warmth and weight.

Oriental: Oriental scents have notes from oriental woods, amber, spicy notes from carnation, cardamom, vanilla. Oriental fragrances are usually sensual, seductive and sexy.

Fresh: Are sporty and for the active. Fresh scents have subgroups; citrus notes, aquatic notes, fruity notes, green notes and aromatic notes.

The structure of perfumes is like a pyramid. It is the perfume's three fragrance notes that determine how the fragrance changes on the skin.

The top notes: is the scent that you feel first and is usually a slightly fresh scent that usually stays in for the first 10-15 minutes before the middle notes become clearer.

Heart notes: stays on the skin between 2-4 hours and has time for the skin's own scent and can smell different from person to person.

Base notes: is the note that fixes the scent so that it becomes lasting. Depending on the concentration of the perfume and the chemistry of the skin, it can remain on the skin for up to 8 hours.

Perfumes have different concentrations that determine the relationship between fragrances, water and alcohol. The higher the scent concentration, the longer the scent stays on the skin.

The weakest concentration is;

Eau de Colonge EDC which has 5% fragrance and stays on the skin for about 1-2 hours.

Eau de Toilette EdT has 5-10% fragrances and stays on the skin for about 3-4 hours.

Eau de Parfum EdP has 10-15% fragrances and stays on the skin for about 5-6 hours.

Perfume has 15-30% fragrances and stays on the skin for about 6-8 hours.
